What is QSFP112 transceiver?
The QSFP112 is a module and cage/connector system built on the existing QSFP design, specifically engineered to support speeds of 112Gb/s per lane in a 4-lane QSFP configuration. It is designed to facilitate the QSFP 400G interconnect ecosystem, enabling a smooth and cost-effective upgrade for legacy QSFP users to achieve 400G per port with minimal transition time.

400G QSFP112 Backward Compatibility
The QSFP112 connectors and cages will be fully backward compatible with legacy QSFP modules, including 40G (4x10G), 100G (4x25G), and 200G (4x56G-PAM4) modules, as well as optical transceivers and copper cables. Additionally, QSFP112 modules will be compatible with the QSFP-DD connector and cage, ensuring seamless integration across different generations of QSFP systems.
