NVIDIA Quantum-2 QM9700 switch
To meet the growing demands of AI, HPC, and data center networking, Optech, professional optical transceiver and cable manufacturer, has enhanced its in-house testing infrastructure with the addition of the NVIDIA Quantum-2 QM9700 InfiniBand switch. This upgrade significantly improves the reliability assurance of Optech’s 800G/400G/200G optical modules, AOC, and DAC products before shipment.
Why the NVIDIA QM9700 Matters
The QM9700 switch is part of NVIDIA’s latest Quantum-2 InfiniBand architecture, supporting ultra-low latency and up to 400Gbps per port. By integrating this switch into its test bench, Optech can now perform real-time compatibility validation, stress testing, and performance benchmarking that aligns with the most demanding customer requirements — especially for:

The 400G OSFP SR4 transceiver supports connections over multi mode fiber (MMF) up to 50m. It uses single MPO-12/APC optical connector. The wavelengths is 850nm.
The Nvidia MMA4Z00-NS400 compatible was tested on NVIDIA Quantum-2 QM9700 switch.

The 400G OSFP DR4 transceiver supports connections over single mode fiber (SMF) up to 100m. It uses single MPO-12/APC optical connector. The wavelengths is 1310nm.

The 800G OSFP SR8 transceiver supports connections over multimode fiber (MMF) up to 50m with OM3 and 100m with OM4. It uses two MPO-12/APC optical connectors. The wavelengths is 850nm.
